The child, then aged nine, went missing in 2008 on her way home from school in Yorkshire which sparked a £3.2 million hunt for the youngster.

She was found drugged and unharmed a month later in a nearby house, with the faked kidnapping carried out by Shannon's mother Karen and Michael Donovan.

Donovan is the Uncle of Matthews' then boyfriend Craig Meehan.
