Ollie Ingram, now 76, married husband Wills Holmes, now 79, in 1955 but they split 10 years later.

They bumped into each other at a Christmas party 18 months ago – and he ended up staying for a fortnight.

At the weekend, the couple married for a second time in a civil ceremony at a hotel in Tamworth, Staffordshire, using the same rings as at their first wedding.

The grandparents, who live in the nearby village of Drayton Bassett, walked in to Barry White’s My First, My Last, My Everything.

They were joined by 100 friends and family for the 30-minute ceremony.

This time the music at the reception was provided by a band and not just a gramophone.

Delighted Wills said: “I never thought I would be lucky enough to marry the woman of my dreams twice.

“Ollie looked as beautiful as the first time and we know it will last this time.”

They met when Ollie was 14 and Wills 17 in Darlaston, West Midlands. They married four years later on Christmas Eve and had two children. But they believe they were too young to wed.

Ollie moved, married again and had four more children. Wills married twice more. Both are now widowed.

Ollie said of their meeting again: “We agreed that Wills would stay that night but I didn’t expect it to be in my bed. We shared a Christmas kiss and he ended up staying a fortnight, then went back to get his things.”

Wills said: “Ollie hasn’t changed one bit. This time will be for keeps.”
