Briton knifed to death in Crete
A BRITISH holidaymaker was stabbed to death and 18 others were in custody last night after a mass brawl on the Greek island of Crete ended in bloodshed yesterday.
The victim, aged 19, was killed after violence erupted in the notorious party town of Malia.
Last night 18 British youths were being questioned by police.

It is believed they were among at least 30 UK citizens who took part in what locals said was a “wild brawl”.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: “We can confirm the death of a British national in Malia on July 23.”
