London sword killing suspect held
A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of the sword murder of a teenager.
Hani Abou El Kheir, 16, died from multiple stab wounds after a gang attack on the edge of Pimlico, one of London’s most affluent areas.
Police believe at least 10 people were involved in the murder on Sunday night. Some had knives and others had swords, according to witnesses. Scotland Yard said the suspect was arrested in north London during an early morning raid.
He was being questioned yesterday. Detectives are still appealing for witnesses and information.
London mayor Boris Johnson said the killing was “horrific” and added: “We must get knives off our streets.”
