£2m theft? I deserve it says boss
THE ex-head of fraud and online security for a bank bailed out by the taxpayer was jailed yesterday for stealing £2.4million.
Jessica Harper, 50, claimed she deserved the money because she worked long hours and could have earned more than her £60,000 salary working anywhere other than at Lloyds Bank.
Harper, of Croydon, south London, who admitted fraud and money-laundering offences, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court to a total of five years in jail.
