Bang goes egg hunt
THE bomb squad set off this blast after a three-year-old boy trod on a grenade during an Easter egg hunt.
The discovery was made in woodland by about 25 excited children and their parents.
Army bomb squad officers said a toddler stood on the device, which is thought to have lain there since the Second World War.
They later blew up the grenade in a field next to woods in Holford, Somerset, on Saturday.
Father-of-three Stuart Moffatt, 34, pictured with his daughters, Isla, 2, and Nelly, 5, who spotted the young boy standing on it said it “looked just like an Easter egg”.
