Fear runs in family
PHOBIAS harboured by parents are being passed to their children, research shows.
A study suggests that more than a million British youngsters aged eight to 12 share their parents’ fears of heights, spiders, snakes, dentists or flying.
It is thought this is due to parents being more open about their phobias at home – something 46 per cent of them admitted in the survey by chocolate biscuit maker Rocky.
