Love at first site...how we fall for our dream homes
POTENTIAL buyers really do “fall in love” with homes they have set their hearts on, a new survey claims today.
More than half the buyers (56 per cent) who put in an offer on a house in the past year displayed at least one symptom of love. One in five people who viewed a house said they felt the same thrill as if they were infatuated with a new lover.
More than a third were so besotted with their new dream home they could not get it out of their minds.
And five per cent confessed their heart beat faster whenever they thought of it.

But when a deal fell through, many felt the same distress as having a love affair break up. One in eight said they went through misery and despair, while two per cent lost their appetite. And 13 per cent actually admitted they felt as if they had been dumped.
