Anybody got a tea (t) owl?
THESE chicks think it’s a hoot to squeeze into cups in the kitchen.
The burrowing owls, which in the wild live underground, are quite happy to relax in items of household crockery. Named Linford and Christie, they were hatched at Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover, Hampshire, six weeks ago.
Now they roost in cups, bookshelves, even the dog basket at the Andover home of zookeeper Jimmy Robinson.
“They look at me as their surrogate mum and follow me around the house,” said Jimmy, 25, who is hand-rearing the orphaned owls.
“They also enjoy the security of sitting in teacups and sugar bowls.”
