How did ‘monster’ get into Britain?
A COUPLE would not have been murdered if the British authorities had not allowed a Lithuanian career criminal to enter the country illegally, it has been claimed.
Rimvydas Liorancas had been arrested for the killings of grandparents Carole and Avtar Kolar, who were bludgeoned to death in their home in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham, last month. He was found hanged in his cell at Woodhill prison in Milton Keynes a week ago.
Liorancas, 37, who was wanted by the Lithuanian authorities, had been kicked out of Britain once but had returned without a passport and was working as a builder.
Joyce Brook, a cousin of Carole Kolar, said: “This monster should never ever have been allowed to be in this country. It is bad enough losing our loved ones in such a brutal attack but then to find out that the person accused of their murders has sneaked over here without a passport is almost beyond comprehension.”
The Kolars’ MP Khalid Mahmood is demanding an inquiry into how Liorancas could live and work here illegally.
