Kind kids are made Downing Street VIPs
FIVE of Britain’s most caring children were given the VIP treatment yesterday by the Prime Minister in Downing Street.
David Cameron met the youngsters who have helped others in their communities and around the world.
They are finalists in Britain’s Kindest Kid – a contest run by 5 News and the Charities Aid Foundation in conjunction with the Daily Express.
All have gone the extra mile in volunteering for charities, fundraising and raising awareness of good causes. After a Number 10 tour, they chatted to Mr Cameron.
He gave them achievement certificates, saying: “This is a great way of celebrating some unbelievably talented and dedicated young people.
“Think of how other young people will see this incredible positive vision and think ‘I can do that’.
“This shows there are young people doing amazing things and raising amounts of money experienced fundraisers would be proud of.”
