Your chance to scoop up a Doggie Doo
GADGETS are expected to reign supreme this Christmas, with most of the 12 top toys being technological gizmos.
The annual “Dream Dozen” of must-have presents was unveiled yesterday by the Toy Retailers Association.
It includes Doggie Doo, a plastic dachshund which “eats” putty before it comes out the other side, ready to be scooped up, and the Fijit Friends, robot toys that react to a child’s voice and can hold a conversation.
The gadget-style toys also include a digital camera called the Kidizoom Twist and the LeapPad Explorer, dubbed the children’s iPad.
We’ve seen some amazing technological advancements from the toy industry.
The association also released a wider list of the best 70 toys, this year tested by children for the first time.
Gary Grant, chairman of the selection panel, said: “We’ve seen some amazing technological advancements from the toy industry. And parents can rest assured that it’s not the most expensive toys that are the most popular, with many favourites costing less than £20.”
