Daredevil sets world record
A BRITISH daredevil set a world record after he dangled from a helicopter by his ankles and escaped from a straitjacket 100ft above a lake.
Rob Roy Collins performed the stunt in just one minute 22 seconds in Canada’s Niagara Falls region.
Rob, of Newcastle upon Tyne, was wearing a Newcastle United football top in tribute to his home team.
Once he successfully completed the escape he took out a Union flag from his pocket and waved it to the crowds below as he was brought back down to earth. Rob, 33, said: “It felt incredible being more than 100ft high and to not only break my own record but set a world record too is very satisfying.
“There was a scary moment when the straitjacket was stuck around my neck and I thought there was a chance I couldn’t get out.
“This is by far the toughest, scariest and most thrilling stunt I have ever performed.”
