Prince Harry should be the Royal Family's "guest of honour" when he makes his highly-anticipated return to the UK this week, one commentator has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex will attend an event on Wednesday at St Paul's Cathedral in London to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. However, Meghan Markle is not making the trip with her husband.

It is unclear if he will meet any members of the Royal Family during his visit, but one commentator claimed they should be doing all they can to give him a warm reception.

Mark Dolan told GB News: "I think it is wrong that Harry won't be staying at Buckingham Palace with his family. His other accommodation options are not great.

He continued: "In families as in friendships, I think you should have forgiveness. I think Harry should be staying at Buckingham Palace.

"He should be a guest of honour. He should have more than a blink and you will miss it with his father, who let's not forget is battling cancer."

TV Loose Women's Denise Welch blasts Coleen Nolan after Meghan Markle row erupts on-air

Denise Welch lashed out at fellow presenter Coleen Nolan for defending Meghan Markle, expressing her frustration over the constant criticism aimed at the Duchess of Sussex.

The panel was joined by Royal expert Dickie Arbiter who suggested that the Sussexes should not have left the Royal Family, leading to a tense exchange between the two co-hosts.

Denise criticised the lack of media attention on Prince Andrew compared to other royals, prompting Coleen to step in.

As the disagreement escalated, host Coleen intervened, stating: "Listen... we don't want [Dickie] on here to have a debate really. We want to know how Charles is doing now and, the future for Charles. It's not a debate."

Inside Prince Archie's 5th birthday from celebrities joining to party games

Prince Archie is marking his fifth birthday today, and it's expected that his parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have planned a low-key, intimate celebration complete with traditional party games, a delicious cake, and ice cream, according to an expert.

The young royal has been characterised by author Tom Quinn as "a real livewire who loves rushing around at top speed".

The royal commentator suggested that Blind Man's Bluff might be among the activities at the bash, which is anticipated to include classmates, his grandmother Doria Ragland, and possibly some celebrity neighbours from Montecito.

Mr Quinn told The Mirror that Meghan Markle takes great pleasure in organising her children's birthdays, yet she insists on keeping them "very private affairs" to allow Archie and Lilibet to enjoy "the more ordinary things in life".

Meghan Markle was given 'rare honour' from King Charles before leaving the Royal Family

King Charles presented Meghan Markle with a "rare honour" before she stepped down from her senior royal duties in the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

Former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole told GBN America that things went "so badly wrong" for the Duchess of Sussex.

During the conversation, he brought up the former actress's tense relationship with her own family, notably father, Thomas Markle.

He said: "It's really hard to puzzle where it all went so badly wrong.

"She could not have been welcomed more into this country or the Royal Family."

In what he termed as a "rare honour", the King offered to walk Meghan down the aisle "because of her estranged relationship with her father and most family members".

King Charles's Coronation anniversary 'bittersweet' as he misses out on Archie's birthday

Today marks the first anniversary of King Charles's Coronation but it will be "bittersweet" to him as he will once again be unable to celebrate Prince Archie Harrison's birthday with him, a royal expert claimed.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son celebrated all of his birthdays in the US as the couple relocated to California shortly before he turned one.

Ahead of the Coronation last year, speculation had been rife on whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would bring Archie, 6, and his younger sister Princess Lilibet Diana, 3, to the UK to mark their grandfather's accession to the throne.

Ultimately, only Harry made the trip back to London for the Westminster Abbey ceremony – and he jetted off immediately after to make it back to California in time to celebrate his son turning four.

Royal expert Phil Dampier claimed the King is likely "heartbroken" as he is unable to spend time with Archie on such a special day for the both of them.

Meghan Markle's recent move shows 'growth' in marriage to Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has displayed her "growth" in her marriage to Prince Harry by changing her wedding ring, a fashion expert has said.

The Duke of Sussex proposed to Meghan in 2017, presenting her with a stunning diamond ring that held a central stone from Botswana and two smaller diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's collection.

For large parts of last year, the Duchess of Sussex seemed to forego wearing her engagement ring, sparking rumours about it being "missing".

But in January 2024, she was spotted adorning her finger with the piece once again at the premiere of "Bob Marley: One Love". The beautiful band made further appearances during her sojourn to Canada with Harry and a holiday in Florida.

It appeared the ring underwent some modifications, with the stones seeming larger during the Duchess's recent display.

Tony French, who works for jewellery shop Austen & Blake, provided insight into what these changes could signify.

Prince Harry's true feelings towards King Charles revealed after 'telling gesture'

Prince Harry's true feelings King Charles were subtly revealed through a "telling gesture" at his father's Coronation, a royal author has claimed.

The historic event took place at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023 and followed the release of the Duke of Sussex's tell-all memoir Spare in which he criticised some royal relatives, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Harry chose to attend the Coronation without Meghan, making a brief trip from his California home for the occasion.

He arrived alongside Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice and their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but was not seen interacting with either Charles or older brother, Prince William.

However, royal author Robert Hardman suggests that the Duke of Sussex made a significant gesture towards the King as he left Westminster Abbey following his crowning.

Meghan Markle suffers huge blow as poll reveals exactly how Britons feel about her

Meghan Markle's popularity in the UK remains incredibly low, with one poll showing she is disliked by the majority of Brits.

The Mail on Sunday poll, which was conducted by Ipsos and quizzed 2,166 British adults, found only 25 percent were fans of the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry is also trailing at the bottom of the table amongst those who were surveyed.

The poll marks the first anniversary of King Charles's Coronation and although some members of the Royal Family have seen their popularity rise, Meghan's approval ratings are still dragging along the bottom.

Meghan, who was previously married, told the show how she asked Prince Charles to accompany her down the aisle.

Prince Archie's bizarre £200 designer gift from Meghan's friend that usually costs £1

The young royal, son of Meghan and Prince Harry, will be celebrating his fifth birthday on May 6, undoubtedly surrounded by presents and affection from his parents and younger sister, Princess Lilibet.

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jones gifted the little prince a £200 Tiffany bubble blower for his first birthday in 2020. Royal commentator Ingrid Seward told The Sun: "The insistence on normality is never an easy objective for members of the Royal Family to achieve."

"Archie's parents have wealthy friends who are going to spoil him with expensive gifts. He certainly won't be dressed in Primark clothes, that's for sure."

However, there's one particularly high-end gift that the Duchess of Sussex has ruled out purchasing for her son, as she disclosed to her filmmaker friend Misan Harriman.

Meghan Markle's 'deep problem' with Prince Andrew revealed as she snubs UK trip

The Duchess of Sussex is said to be surprised that Prince Andrew "has not been completely ostracised" by the Royal Family, especially considering her and Prince Harry's experiences, according to a Royal expert.

Relations between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family have been tense since their decision to step back from senior Royal duties four years ago.

Despite Prince Andrew stepping down from official Royal duties amid controversy over his past ties with Jeffrey Epstein, he remains part of the Royal circle.

Author Tom Quinn suggests Meghan thinks Andrew should be "pushed out" due to his public image. In an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Tom stated: "The fact that Prince Andrew has not been completely ostracised is another deep source of grievance for Meghan she's been pushed out so why not Andrew? ".

Prince Harry 'privately expressed' his wish to speak with William but 'now not the time'

Despite hopes for a heart-to-heart, it's looking unlikely that Princes Harry and William will cross paths in London next week, despite Harry's reported eagerness for a sit-down with his elder sibling.

Prince Harry is due to attend a landmark event marking a decade of the Invictus Games at St Paul's Cathedral on May 8, but while a rendezvous with King Charles seems on the cards, William's packed diary suggests a brotherly meeting isn't.

An insider shared with The Mirror: "Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can. He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned."

Although the service coincides with the season's inaugural Buckingham Palace garden party, there's a chance for a catch-up between Charles and Harry later in the day.

Prince Archie's very unusual present from late Queen that Meghan Markle insisted on

The late Queen Elizabeth II, eager to find the perfect Christmas gift for her great-grandson Prince Archie, once turned to Meghan Markle for guidance.

Prince Archie had a specific wish when he was two and his mother informed his grandmother about it, leading to the Queen arranging for the quirky gift to be sent to the Sussexes' residence in Montecito, California.

Prince Harry shared this amusing anecdote with James Corden while visiting The Late Late Show.

He told the TV host: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.

"So she sent us a waffle maker for Archie, so breakfast now Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes. He loves it. And now I have waffles for breakfast, bit of yoghurt, bit of jam on top. I don't know if that's the right thing to do. Berries, bit of honey."
