Family’s fears for vanished Alps Briton
THE family of a young British man who has vanished in a Swiss ski resort spent Christmas desperately hunting for him.
Myles Robinson, 23, has not been seen since early Tuesday despite a massive search involving helicopters, dogs and heat-seeking equipment.
The former public schoolboy left a bar in the small Alpine resort of Wengen to escort a family friend to her lodgings. She was staying just 200 yards from his family’s apartment in the Hotel Eiger but Myles never returned.
His parents Michael and Sarah and sister Cara, who raised the alarm are baffled. The family, from Wandsworth, south-west London, said Myles had “everything to live for”.
He was due to start a financial services job in two weeks and his girlfriend was flying to Switzerland to join him for New Year celebrations.
