Birmingham fire: Huge blaze at Bournville's Cadbury Club - thick black smoke fills the sky
A FIRE has broken out at The Cadbury Club in Birmingham with smoke soaring into the skyline - as firefighters rush to the scene.

The thick smoke can be seen for “miles” as firefighters attempt to tackle the raging inferno. The Cadbury Club, in Bournville, Birmingham, caught ablaze this afternoon. One witness wrote on Twitter: “The Cadbury Club is burning down! You can see the smoke for a mile or two away. Firefighters on site containing it as best they can.”
Emily Dixon added: "Another huge fire in Birmingham, this time from the old Cadbury Club apparently. Hope no one hurt!"
West Midlands Fire Service have confirmed that multiple crews are on the scene.
This includes Kings Norton Fire, Bournbrook Fire, Northfield Fire, Billesley Fire, Highgate Fire, Woodgate Fire, Smethwick Fire and Oldbury Fire.
Four main jets are reportedly in use on the severe blaze.

Authorities have pleaded with locals to avoid Bournville Lane, Mary Vale Round and the surrounding areas.
Lauren Thorogood replied to a video of the fire, saying: "You can see it for miles!"
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service offered further insight.
They said: "Six appliances and a hydraulic platform are at the scene of the fire at the social club.
"50 firefighters are currently tackling the blaze."

This is the second time a large fire has ignited in Birmingham in the past week.
A plastics factory on Tyseley Industrial Estate also caught alight on August 10.
More than 100 firefighters were forced to tackle the blaze at the time.

The Cadbury Club is a social club that hosts wedding receptions, birthday parties and other events for locals.
It is not yet known what the cause of the fire was.
Alana Tomlin who lives in a building in the area confirmed that she and her neighbours had been evacuated.
Videos show people standing on streets watching firefighters working to douse the blaze.
Many transport routes have been disrupted as a result.
