JEREMY CORBYN’s Labour Party is “riven with difficulties” claimed radio presenter James Max, pointing out two core issues in particular.
Election: Labour Party is 'riven with difficulties' says expert
Last night Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn went head-to-head in a live TV debate, where the two leaders quarrelled over Brexit, the NHS and trustworthiness. Journalist James Max pointed out two core issues for the Labour Party, saying it is “riven with difficulties”. Speaking on Jeremy Vine, the radio presenter began: “The first thing that he absolutely should have done, he should be able to provide an answer by now on Brexit.
“And I think that is really important. There’s a reason why he’s not, and the reason why he’s not is really simple.”
Actor Alexis Conran interjected: “His personal view and the party’s view. The party’s view is quite clear.”
Mr Max continued: “The Tories have had their row about Brexit and they have decided.
“It’s been bloody, but they’ve decided. They know where they stand. And Labour is still riven with difficulties.

“The second point is anti-Semitism. He hasn’t dealt with it, he hasn’t sorted it out.
“And he has a local problem, particularly when there are a lot of Jewish voters.
“They will not vote for that party because he hasn’t dealt with it full stop.”
During the ITV leadership debate, Mr Corbyn was challenged on anti-Semitism within his party.
He replied: "Racism in any form is a surge on our society.
"I have taken action in my party where anyone that has committed any anti-Semitic acts, they are suspended or expelled from the party.
"We are deadly serious about this. We have to stand up against racism in any form of our society."

In the course of the debate, Mr Corbyn refused nine times to clarify his Brexit position, as well as seemingly questioning the future of the monarchy.
When asked if the monarchy was “fit for purpose”, the Labour leader said: “It needs a bit of improvement.”
Mr Johnson insisted: “The institution of the Monarchy is beyond reproach.”
Afterwards, Conservative Party chairman James Cleverly said: “Jeremy Corbyn showed exactly why he is unfit to govern our country. He failed nine or 10 times to say where he stands on Brexit.”
Tory MP Nigel Evans told the Daily Express: “I thought it was absolutely stunning that time and time again Corbyn avoided the simple but fundamental question about how he would campaign in his proposed second Brexit referendum. I mean shifty doesn’t even come close. He refused nine or 10 times to answer the question and the public won’t tolerate that.”
