Further intrigue surrounds Denise
DOCTORS could face charges over the death of former Scotland captain Colin Hendry’s wife Denise, it was revealed yesterday.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on the 43-year-old, who died on Friday.
If a direct link is made between botched cosmetic surgery and her death, medics may face manslaughter charges.
Denise had suffered health problems since a “tummy tuck” carried out by Swedish surgeon Dr Gustav Aniansson went wrong seven years ago.
Three months ago, she underwent corrective surgery, but contracted a brain infection and lapsed into a coma.
A senior police source said: “If there can be a direct link made with the original surgery, and gross negligence could be proved, you could be looking at a charge of manslaughter.
“There is no time limit on an investigation. The fact it was seven years ago is irrelevant.” Doctors could face charges in Denise tragedy
