Britain’s No 1 player really means business
ANDY MURRAY is planning a new career – in business.
Britain’s highest-ranking player has signed up with Simon Fuller whose management company handled the Spice Girls and American Idol.
In an interview yesterday, he said: “I spoke to all the usual sports management companies and they all said the same thing but there was nothing that excited me.
“I suppose I wanted something more bespoke, something that reflects who I am.
“Simon Fuller was completely different, he was overflowing with ideas. He also listened to what I want and don’t want.”
With no interest in clothes, Murray added: “For instance I am not interested in doing fashion shoots.
“For me the most important thing has always been tennis, and that’s what I want to get across – the image is a hard-working tennis player.”
