Jeremy Clarkson's A-list fans: Susanna Reid supports former BBC Top Gear presenter

The 44-year-old Good Morning Britain star re-tweeted Jeremy's final message to fans, saying: "Just to keep everyone up to date, I haven't heard a thing."

Coming out as a fan in the final moments before his fate was revealed, the star hasn't mentioned before now being a Top Gear girl.

But many others have, including former reality TV star Katie Hopkins who has been very vocal about her love for the star.

Katie showed her support for her fellow outspoken TV personalty today when Jeremy was suspended "following a fracas" with a producer.

The 40-year-old decided to get behind the Top Gear star despite having no knowledge of the incident.

She claimed the "licence fee makes no sense" without Jeremy on the BBC.

Writing to her 523 thousand followers, Katie posted: "Clarkson suspended by BBC. I don't care what he said. Clarkson all the way. #TopGear #topbloke."

Later she added: "JeremyClarkson v @BBC Without him, the licence fee makes no sense whatsoever. Enough lefty lunacy. Get the man back on #topbloke #TopGear."

"Clarkson's suspension has nothing to do with a minor bust up. It is the jealousy of the dim-witted left v the quick-witted right. #TopGear."

"If Clarkson tried to punch me I'd duck, kiss his little belly & ask which car to buy. Can we please get a sense of sodding humour? #TopGear."

Katie isn't the only one feeling the love for Clarkson, with music mogul Simon Cowell also backing the presenter.

Speaking at the Prince's Trust Success Awards earlier this kong, he said: "I like Jeremy. He has said some stupid things and he knows that, but he’s apologised.

"I think what’s quite obvious is the public are behind him. But you know, that’s Jeremy."

American rapper Snoop Dogg waded in on the row over the weekend, telling fans Britain was crazy to let the BBC give Jeremy the boot.

He told The Sun: "The BBC got to be crazy to even think about firing Jeremy Clarkson.

"He isn’t part of Top Gear - he is Top Gear. If they even think about firing him, Britain needs to boycott the BBC until he is reinstated."

Even the PM, David Cameron, spoke about the furore joking his daughter, Nancy, was on a hunger strike.

He said: "Nancy has threatened to go on hunger strike unless Jeremy Clarkson is restored."

But Jeremy's arch enemy Piers Morgan has taken Jeremy's dismissal from the show and worked it to his advantage.

The star took to Twitter, saying: "If he'd stuck to just punching me, he'd have been fine. #Clarkson."

Just moments ago it was revealed Jeremy has been dropped from Top Gear after the BBC announced that his contract will not be renewed.
