He said: "I can't tell you whether I make it through this season... I can't tell you who makes it through. There's some big shocks.

There's some big events. It's a really interesting season."

Talking about how Game of Thrones has has changed his life, he said: "I don't think I'll ever get to grips with what GoT has become.

"It's changed my life beyond anything than before. Some ways brilliant, some ways not so brilliant. I'm really loving where I am at the moment."

The first clip sees Kit's character Jon having a rather intense conversation with leader of the Free Folk, Mance Rayder.

Fans of the show will be aware that Mance and his men were captured in season four and are now under the command of the Night's Watch.

In the 34-second clip of Jon and Mance, Jon tells the captured: "You told me you weren't here to conquer. You told me your people had bled enough," to which Mance replies: "That's right. I don't want them bleeding for Stannis Baratheon either."

Jon then adds: "You spent your life convincing 90 clans to come together for the first time in history. You didn't do it for power, you didn't do it for glory, you brought them together to save them because none of them would survive the winter, not if they're north of the wall. Isn't their survival more important than your pride?"

Jon is clearly hinting at Mance's fate, and appears to be urging him to bow to Stannis in order to survive.

Fans of the show will have to tune in to SKY Atlantic on April 12 when season 5 starts in the UK.
