Wearing a stunning pale grey gown with a plunging neckline, Lily posed for photographs in the get-up that made her look like a real-life Cinderella.

To add that extra bit of sparkle, the Prada dress was detailed with a silver neckline and waist, with the 25-year-old teaming the sleeveless number with lashings of pink lipstick and a gorgeous up 'do.

Following on from the Los Angeles Cinderella premiere at the El Capitan Theatre earlier this week, where Lily again, dressed to impress, the actress and her co-stars hit Antara Polanco in Mexico City on Thursday.

Disney's live-action Cinderella remake may not hit cinema screens until March 27, but Lily and Richard Madden - who plays Prince Charming - have already been hard at work doing promo for the eagerly anticipated film.

Speaking about having to fit into that fairytale dress with the minuscule waist on screen, Downton Abbey actress Lily told E! News: “If you ate food it didn’t really digest properly, and I’d be burping all afternoon […] and it was just really sort of unpleasant."

She also added: "I’d have soup so that I could still eat but it wouldn’t get stuck."

Although she definitely looks the part with her slim physique, Lily did add that she's not such a huge fan of Britain's obsession with losing weight.

"I think it’s so important to be healthy and confident and natural and not put too much stress on trying to be thin," she told E! "I don’t get the thin, thin thing at all."

Lily also spoke to The Los Angeles Times about claims that her waist had been edited to be smaller: "I naturally have a really small waist. The skirt's big and the corset pulls me in, and that's the point. That's the shape [costume designer] Sandy Powell created.

"I think it's all very hypocritical, and they [the press] contradict themselves, and they're drawing more attention to it. I think all that stuff's so negative, and you've got to let it wash over your head."

She continued: "I'm so healthy. I've got hips and boobs and a bum and a small waist."
