Wrapping up in a matching checked jacket, the starlet looked stylish as she made her way into the studio.

Adding some height to her look, Dakota added a pair of strappy heels – which wouldn't have looked out of place in Mr Grey's 'red room'.

Covering her face with a pair of over-sized sunglasses, they star tried to slip unnoticed past the hoards of Fifty Shades fans on the street.

The future of the film adaptations of E L James' book today hung in the balance as director Sam Taylor-Johnson's representative revealed Universal Pictures have not yet committed to  sequels, despite the books being a trilogy.

The director's spokesperson said: "The studio have not committed to a sequel as yet."

Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed the first movie released last week with Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, was rumoured not to be directing any other movies in the four-book series.

Her representative was quick to discount reports Sam had backed out of the movie because she'd clashed with the Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James.

She said: "All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio have not committed to a sequel as yet. We will not be making any further comment."
