SOAP star Georgia May Foote has called off her engagement with her childhood sweetheart, it's been reported.
The 24-year-old Coronation Street actress has apparently ended her relationship with John Sage ahead of her big move to Hollywood.
Georgia, who plays Katy Armstrong in the ITV1 soap, is planning on becoming the next Catherine Zeta-Jones and clearly wants to be single as she pursues her dream in the States.
A show insider told The Sun: "She had her leaving do from Corrie last week. She was telling everyone they’d split up and she was looking forward to a future acting career in America.
"Everyone was very surprised because she has always been very happy with him and never been interested in a showbiz lifestyle. But this will be a new start for her."

Georgia became engaged to plumber John in 2013 and was last pictured with him celebrating her 23rd birthday in Dublin last year.
The stunning brunette, who has already filmed her last scenes for Coronation Street, is heading to the US this year and plans to follow in the footsteps of Catherine.
The Welsh beauty who quit the UK in the 1990s following her role in The Darling Buds of May, and used a TV role in US series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles to bag movie roles and is now a huge Hollywood name.
