Gust of honour, but the lady in red doesn't let it faze her
The Duchess of Cambridge may have wished she’d taken a leaf out of the Queen’s book by putting weights in the hem of her dress as she stepped down from the plane, but she won admiration from New Zealand fans for her fern brooch, which depicted the national symbol of the country. The brooch was on loan from the Queen, who was given it on a world tour in 1953. The stunning red dress and hat also have meaning, as they’re by British designer Catherine Walker, a favourite of William’s mother Diana.

One of the Plunket nurses and parents group organisers presented Prince George with a true blue friend in the shape of a teddy bear. George, however, looked like he would prefer to get back to playing with the other children
