King Charles and Prince William to drop 'reconciliation efforts' after latest Harry row

EXCLUSIVE: The King and Prince William once again had serious allegations levelled against them in a new book favourably leaning towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Royals: Harry's family feud raises questions on monarchy's value

King Charles and Prince William could decide not to meet Prince Harry halfway and forego "reconciliation efforts" after the release of Omid Scobie's Endgame, a PR expert has said.

The new biography brought up a series of new accusations against the two senior royals as well as other members of the Royal Family, including Catherine, the Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

While Scobie has repeatedly rejected claims he has been acting as a "mouthpiece" for Harry and Meghan Markle, the book has painted the couple in an extremely favourable light compared to members of the institution.

Scobie's book comes after multiple attacks aimed at the Royal Family directly from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – including their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and Harry's memoir Spare last year.

PR expert Renae Smith warned the couple that any form of association with the book could backfire on them as well as threaten the possibility of mending fences with His Majesty and the Prince of Wales.

Smith told the Daily Express: "The book's portrayal of the Royal Family, particularly the alleged rifts, could influence King Charles and Prince William's stance on reconciliation.

"Fear of private conversations being leaked or misconstrued might lead them to prioritise the monarchy's stability and their public image, potentially foregoing reconciliation efforts."

Scobie said he received details and private information about the inner circles of the Royal Family from sources close to the institution.

The claim sparked speculation that Meghan and Harry could have directly contributed with personal comments after the Duchess last year had to confirm she had helped Scobie and colleague Carolyn Durant as they wrote their book Finding Freedom.

The Atticism founder added: "The detailed depiction of the Sussexes' private lives in 'Endgame,' regardless of its source, will most likely impact public perception significantly.

"If the public believes that the Sussexes are the origin of these insights, it will most certainly cast them in an unfavourable light (here in the UK), potentially amplifying negative stereotypes.

"This portrayal might lead to a perception that they are overly open about their private affairs (especially after begging for privacy), a stance which could be detrimental in a culture that often appreciates discretion and restraint."

The couple have been trying to move on from their royal roles and establish themselves as entrepreneurs in Hollywood.

However, Smith warned failing to publicly refute claims of collaborating with Scobie could push potential partners to turn away.
