Prince George tipped to follow in Princess Kate's footsteps with major milestone

Princess Kate was recently spotted at her alma mater, which leads Royally Obsessed co-hosts to believe the school is a "contender" for young George.

Prince George is expected to pick a secondary school before the end of the school year - and Princess Kate's former place of study may be a contender.

This topic was discussed on the latest episode of Royally Obsessed with co-hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito talking about Princess Kate making her return to Marlborough College, where she boarded from 1996-2000.

The co-hosts are on the edge of their seats in anticipation of where George will end up, with Rachel commenting “He’s growing up too fast” and Roberta noting how “Kate wants him to go to the school she went to, we can see that.”

The royal watchers go over some interesting tidbits and why Marlborough would be a good choice.

Rachel said: “Kate was spotted touring Marlborough College, obviously her alma mater. Kate, Pippa and James and Eugenie all went there. Do you think this is a contender for George? Does that mean that it is?”

To which Roberta agreed: “It has to be, right?”

Rachel goes onto say there is an "argument for it, if they choose it, is that it is a co-ed school versus Eton, so that means Charlotte and Louis could also join George and that would keep the siblings together, and I like that".

If it were up to these two, the decision would be made, but there's more to it as the rest of the segment reveals.

Rachel added: “I did also get confused, it sounds like George does need to declare where he’s going by the end of this school year, it sounds like, because at least Eton’s rules, even though he doesn’t start attending until he’s 13, you have to declare it in the school year that you turn 10. Very fascinating. We should know soon.”

Roberta points to the difference between the school systems in the US and UK, saying: “That’s so early.”

Rachel, on the other hand, thinks “he’s growing up too fast”.

George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5, all currently attend Lambrook Primary School. George is approaching exams in November. Kate plans to skip the Earthshot Prize ceremony in Singapore to stay home with George to prepare.
