KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge was at the centre of Palace fury after a "historic" photograph was shared publicly.
Kate Middleton: Palace 'didn't like' photo on bus says expert
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has been the subject of much public attention since news broke of her relationship with Prince William in the early 2000s. The then-Kate Middleton could often be spotted being chased by photographers as she came and went from the Chelsea flat she used to share with younger sister Pippa Middleton. But one "historic" photo, in particular, left the Palace rather disgruntled, according to royal correspondent Richard Palmer.
Speaking to Channel 5 documentary 'William&Kate: Too Good to Be True,' Mr Palmer said: "I remember she was photographed on a London bus going down the King’s Road.
"To me, it’s a historic photo. It’s a photo of probably someone who is going to be our Queen in the future, sitting downstairs on a London bus.
"Palace didn’t like it."
The growing attention the public paid to Kate forced Prince William to issue a statement demanding his girlfriend be left alone.

Prof Suzannah Lipscomb said: "William became worried his girlfriend was being hounded just the same way as his mother had been.
"And we all know the outcome of that. So he stepped in to issue a statement saying that he wanted Catherine, more than anything else, to be left alone."
Royal author Marcia Moody, in her 2013 book “Kate: A Biography” recounted how William sent a furious letter to editors across the UK denouncing their behaviour towards Kate after the bus photo was published.
Ms Moody said: "In October, Kate was photographed on a bus while going for a job interview.

“It was argued that there was no difference being photographed on a bus, than from being photographed walking down the street or shopping with her mother.
"But the big difference this time was that Kate had been followed by the photographer all day.”
Ms Moody continued: "On instructions from William, who had discussed the matter with Kate and her father, a legal letter to newspaper editors was issued requesting that details of Kate’s private life remain private.”
The letter itself remained confidential, however friends of the royal couple told The Daily Telegraph in 2007 that the prince was "very angry".

The future Duke of Cambridge issued a second, public statement demanding Kate's privacy be respected shortly after the pair rekindled their relationship in 2007.
The pair had been facing increasing pressure to become engaged and had called it quits in April 2007 only to be photographer together again in October of the same year.
The new statement read: "Prince William is very unhappy at the paparazzi harassment of his girlfriend.
"He wants, more than anything, for it to stop.
"Miss Middleton should, like any other private individual, be able to go about her everyday business without this kind of intrusion."
