PRINCE HARRY could be forced to snub the Royal Family again after stepping down as a senior royal as one royal expert speculated over whether he will apply for US citizenship.
Meghan Markle: Harry ‘hasn’t applied for citizenship’ says expert
Prince Harry, 35, stepped down as a senior royal along with wife, Meghan Markle, 38, on March 31 and set out a new life in America where they finance themselves independently from the Royal Family. The Queen stopped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from working under their royal titles causing the couple to shut down charities and rebrand. But royal expert Angela Mollard said it still needs to be discussed as to whether Harry will apply for US citizenship and pay tax to America.
Speaking on New Idea's ROYALS podcast, Ms Mollard said: "I think what's really interesting is that we don't know about Harry's eligibility for staying in the US.
"He hasn't applied for citizenship obviously if he did, if he became a US citizen, that would have implications for paying tax in that country.
"There's a lot of that still needs to be discussed and unravelled.
"But certainly this is not a time for them to be rebranding, it would be seen as holy inappropriate."

Meghan and Harry have moved to California to be close to Meghan's mother, Doria, and are said to be looking at new homes in Malibu.
The royal couple have also stated they have not and will not ask US citizens to pay for their security.
But one thing that could stop Harry from living and working there permanently is his British citizenship.
The sixth-in-line to the throne would need a green card to lawfully work in the US.

Further details about the organisation, first reported in the Daily Telegraph, have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and an announcement will be made "when the time is right", the couple said.
The newspaper reported that paperwork regarding their new brand was filed in the United States last month and the couple are considering how to create their own charity and volunteering services.
Plans also include a wide-ranging website and sharing "education and training materials" via films, podcasts and books, according to the newspaper.
