Did Queen take SUBTLE JIBE at Trump at state banquet? Tiara’s hidden meaning revealed
THE Queen wore her Burmese Ruby Tiara to the much anticipated state banquet last night and the headwear is being interpreted as the monarch “throwing shade” at Donald Trump due to the tiara’s symbolism.
People have taken to Twitter to make jokes the Queen wore this particular tiara to protect herself from Mr Trump as it is intended as a symbol of protection against illnesses and evil. The explanation of the tiara says: “The number of stones represent the number of diseases that the Burmese people believe can afflict the human body. “They credit the ruby with prophylactic properties guarding the wearer not only against illness, but also against evil.”

There are 96 rubies in the tiara, which were originally part of a necklace given to her in 1947 as a wedding present from the people of Burma.
One Twitter user said: “All kinds of subtle shade was cast, up to and including the Burmese ruby tiara worn by the Queen.”
Another said: “Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Burmese Ruby Tiara for tonight’s banquet.
“Rubies are supposed to protect the wearer from evil. More subtle shade? Hope so!”

The Queen was sitting at the head of the table with the Prince of Wales on her left and Mr Trump on her right.
The 170 guests dined on halibut, Windsor lamb and strawberry sable at the celebratory meal, as they drank various fine wines.
Preparations for the banquet began six months before and it took palace staff four days to lay the table.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall wore a sparkling Diamond Boucheron tiara for the occasion.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore her knot tiara, which is a sparkling pearl heirloom.
This piece was created for Queen Mary in 1914 by the House of Garrand from pearls and diamonds already owned by her family.
