Whether you’re holidaying in St Tropez or sunning yourself on the Cornish Riviera there is show-stopping swimwear for everyone this season.

For summer 2008, designers took the key trends, including floral prints, stripes and embellishments and transferred them on to bikinis and one-piece swimsuits.

Florals were in full bloom at Michael Kors, while John Galliano and L.A.M.B looked to the Fifties for their halterneck bikini tops and high-waisted, belted briefs.

The classic itsy-bitsy bikini also made a comeback in all its diminutive glory at DSquared.

On the high street there are styles and price tags to suit all shapes and pockets.

Look out for Elizabeth Hurley’s racy, limited edition collection for Mango, Stella McCartney’s summer swimwear line and simple, fuss-free designs at Cos.
