Botox ‘cuts migraines’
BOTOX can halve the number of migraines suffered, it is claimed.
The treatment is most commonly smooth out wrinkles.
But Botox injected into head and neck muscles can block triggers for the condition, a study in Granada, Spain, has shown.
Doctors carried out tests among 52 migraine sufferers resistant to normal treatments.
Almost a fifth saw the number of migraines halved and 38 per cent saw it drop by between 11 and 49 per cent.
Botox has already been licensed to treat migraine in the US.
