EE reveals a new upgrade, but this time it's got nothing to do with your phone
EE HAS announced new plans designed to help customers stay online, however, this update doesn't involve your smartphones.
Stormzy performs in London for the launch of EE's 5G network
Just last month, EE introduced new smartphone plans to help customers stay online even when their usual data runs out. These latest plans include something called Reserve Data, which kicks in when your monthly data allowance has been used up streaming music and movies.
It's not as fast as standard 4G, but EE states that it's good enough to access apps like WhatsApp, Google Maps, and Apple Music. This data is totally free and lasts until your new monthly allowance starts again (at full speed 4G or 5G) which means you won't face any extra charges for added bolt-on data plans.
This smartphone update certainly appears popular and now EE is bringing it to another range of products. From this week, customers who take out an EE tablet plan will also be treated to Reserve Data, which automatically starts once a Smart Plan customer’s high-speed data allowance runs out.
And that's not all as EE is also boasting that EE Smart tablet plan, customers can select the latest addition, BritBox, as a Swappable Benefit.
Swappable Benefits are aimed at helping customers get the most from their plans by allowing them to swap their benefits each month as their needs change.

Customers can then choose a Smart plan on either device for an extra £4.50 per month, which includes one Swappable benefit, 20GB of data and Reserve Data.
