If you're fed up of opening your dishwasher only to find that everything inside isn't dry yet, there is a simple way you can try to dry crockery that requires only one household item.
Cleaning tips: Dishwasher hack with white vinegar and lemons
A clever trick using a tea towel in the dishwasher has been shared, promising to leave glasses bone dry and sparkling after each cycle.
This can help to combat any streaky glasses which is a common problem for many, even when they've been washed in the appliance.
Dishwashers are a godsend in many kitchens, saving households lots of time that would otherwise be spent scrubbing dishes in hot water.
But, as handy as they are, dishwashers aren't perfect. There's nothing more annoying than opening the dishwasher after a cycle, only to find some dishes aren't clean, or glassware is left with ugly streaks or not properly dried.
Luckily, an expert has shared a nifty trick to combat this and all you need is a common household item, a tea towel, according to The Mirror.
But don't worry, you won't have to dry each dish individually. Instead, you can make the most of your tea towel without any extra hassle.
Eleanor Potter, head of strategic sourcing at Plumbworld, shared this simple step for those tired of finding their dishes still wet after a dishwasher cycle.
She said: "There is a very simple step you can take to conquer this minor issue. Take a tea towel, open the dishwasher, and slide it down, with one end sticking out.

"Then close the door leaving the tea towel hanging inside. Because dishwashers clean at high temperatures it is the residual steam that forms moisture as it cools down.
"But a tea towel placed inside, even for 10 minutes, will ensure this steam is absorbed and your crockery is dry, so it can be placed straight back into the cupboard."
However, the expert warns, "there is one word of warning". She added: "Because you are opening the door and exposing the seal while the load is still hot, it could encourage a few nasties to form in there.
"This is easy to fix with an old toothbrush and some soapy water. Just give it a quick scrub once a week to keep it clean and looking great."
To make sure your dishwasher stays in top shape, you should clean it every three months.
The expert recommended using special cleaners for this job, running the dishwasher empty except for the cleaner on a setting that's at least 60C to keep the appliance in tip-top condition.
