How to clean your microwave using a lemon
In order to clean your microwave using lemon, you will need to fill a small, microwave-friendly bowl with water.
Measure approximately half a cup of water into the bowl.
Slice the lemon in half and then squeeze its juice into the water.
For a more thorough clean, drop the remaining lemon halves into the water.
Next, microwave the bowl of lemon water on high for approximately three minutes or until the liquid comes to a boil.
Let the liquid stand for five minutes. During this time do not open the door.
Allowing the steam to sit inside of the microwave will help to loosen any food or residue stuck to the microwave walls.

Once five minutes have passed, open the microwave door and carefully remove the bowl of water.
Take out your microwave's turntable, if it has one, and wipe it clean.
Then, wipe the inside of the microwave with a clean cloth. According to thekitchn.com, the best way to do this is by beginning with the ceiling, then the walls, and finally the floor of the microwave.
If you do find any stubborn stains, dip the corner of your dish cloth into the lemon water and scrub vigorously until the stains come away.
Finally, wipe down the microwave door before replacing the turntable.
