Jimmy Carr, 47, is a well-known comedian who has hosted many shows for Channel 4. He is currently a presenter on Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Jimmy first started a career as a comedian 20-years-ago.
Since then, he has become a household name known for his one-liners and dark comedy.

In fact, his success landed him at number four on a 2017 Spear's magazine list of the highest-paid UK comedians.
As well as being a comedian, Jimmy has turned his hand to acting, writing and presenting.
While he is best known for his work on the small screen, he has not always worked in the media.
The comedian was born in Hounslow, London, on September 15, 1972.
After graduating from university, Jimmy had a job in marketing for six years.
In 2000, he took voluntary redundancy and tried to forge a career in comedy.
Within a month of leaving his job, Jimmy was performing paid stand-up gigs.
By doing stand-up shows, he soon established himself as a popular comedian and had sell-out tours.
In 2002, Jimmy continued to build his fortune by moving into work as a presenter.
He hosted two Channel 4 game shows, Distraction, and Your Face or Mine? which both ran for around one year.
While the shows did not last long, they opened the doors for other presenting jobs for the comedian.
Since 2004, Jimmy has been the host on the annual panel show The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
He has also front shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project and The Fix.
As well as moving into presenting, Jimmy has continued to tour regularly.
These tours are usually accompanied by a DVD, topping up his earnings.
