Luckily there’s a natural way to get rid of weeds using a natural solution that avoids the use of harmful chemicals like pesticides.
Over on TikTok, Brandy Lemire, who is a homesteader, has shared her way of getting rid of weeds.
In a video, she said: “Did you know that you can use baking soda as a natural weed killer?

“Baking soda kills weeds by drawing water from the plant cells, forcing the foliage to dry off.
“The sodium bicarbonate is phytotoxic to plants and can control any type of weeds in lawns and gardens.
“You can sprinkle it on like I did or mix with vinegar and water and spray on.”
Brandy also gave some information on what going down the pesticide route when attempting to kill weeds can do.

She wrote: “Pesticide exposure can be linked to cancer, endocrine disruption, reproductive effects, neurotoxicity, kidney and liver damage, birth defects, and developmental changes in a wide range of species.
“Exposure to pesticides can also alter an organism's behavior, impacting its ability to survive.”
She also clarified that this method will not kill things nearby.
