If you want to keep bugs from eating your plants, you’ll only need this one trick.

Gardening expert Judy Bao, who uploads all things gardening to her TikTok account, has shared how to make the perfect homemade bug repeller for your garden.

Grab a small, transparent pouch. Cut some garlic in half and place it in the pouch.

Get a hammer and crush the garlic while it is inside the pouch.

Once your garlic has been adequately crushed, hang the pouch on a plant. Repeat as necessary.

Your garden may smell like garlic, but this will keep the bugs away.

With a different method they like to use, someone commented: “I use a sauce container and mix oil and soy sauce in it and put it next to my plant. It traps slugs, earwigs, grasshoppers etc. They fall in and can't get out.”
