The Land Rover Discovery celebrates its 25th anniversary with a revised look
LAST week on these pages it was the turn of the new Range Rover Hybrid, this week Land Rover turns its attentions to the Discovery.
Next year sees the Disco enjoy its 25th anniversary and celebrating its birthday early, the seven-seater gets a refreshed look together with a host of other revisions.
The 256bhp 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine remains but thanks to stop-start the Discovery’s emissions are reduced to 213g/km and fuel economy improved to 35.3mpg.
For the first time, the Land Rover badging is dropped from the bonnet and instead reads “Discovery” while there are also new LED daytime running lights and a revised front end.
Prices will be announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show (look out for our report here next week) but are expected to start at around £40,000.
