Simply M&S: Chain store swoop for John Lewis CEO Weir
MARKS and Spencer has lured Helen Weir away from the John Lewis Partnership to be its new chief finance officer
She has held the same post at John Lewis since 2012 and joined the department store group after eight years at Lloyds Banking Group, first as finance director then director of retail banking.
Weir replaces Alan Stewart who moved to Tesco in September.
Her basic annual salary will be £590,000 and M&S said she would receive "standard benefits commensurate with her position".
