Virgin hires key bank executives
VIRGIN Money has made two key appointments as it builds its banking business and challenges its high street rivals.
The company, which bought Northern Rock last year, has hired Michele Greene from credit card group MBNA as its director of banking. She will head plans for a credit card and current accounts. It has also taken on Royal Bank of Scotland executive Lee Rochford as chief financial officer.
Chief executive Jayne-Anne Gadhia said: “We are now planning for the future as we continue on our quest to build a better kind of bank.”
