Lindsay and Sam to pool their cash

Party-loving actress Lindsay Lohan has shown one of the biggest signs yet of her commitment to girlfriend Samantha Ronson, after agreeing to set up a joint bank account.

The 22-year-old, who has previously been linked to a string of high-profile men, including Calum Best and Colin Farrell, confirmed she was dating the 31-year-old DJ and sister of British record producer Mark Ronson last September.

While speculation has been rife about the true nature of the pair’s relationship – it was even uncharitably dismissed as a publicity stunt in some quarters – the Mean Girls star is now said to be “hell-bent” on showing her commitment to her crop-haired partner.

Friends even predict that the next step for the couple could be marriage, now their financial affairs have begun to merge.

“Lindsay was reportedly earning £122,000 per episode for her stint on Ugly Betty last year and she’s stashed that into a joint account to show Sam how much she loves her,” says a source close to the couple.

While it was recently –revealed that her association with Lohan had boosted her earning power, Ronson is known to have been keen to remain as financially independent as possible.

The couple have also reportedly snapped up a luxury pad in the Palm Island development in Dubai after they fell in love with the area during a recent visit when Sam–antha had a DJ gig.

“Sam’s very generous to Lindsay,” adds our insider. “She pays for everything when they go away together and Lindsay wants to show her gratitude by doing this. Sam is completely disinterested in shopping and things, whereas Lindsay loves to spend and always says she wants to be as rich as possible. Having a joint account with Sam is a huge step for her.”
