“It’s unbelievable how wonderful my partners are!” purrs Barbra Streisand, like the cat that got the cream.

The legendary singer has plenty to feel excited about after lining up an impressive list of hook ups (musically speaking!) for her latest album, Partners.

As well as John Mayer, Streisand duets with a dream team that includes Andrei Bocelli, Michael Buble, Billy Joel, Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder AND Elvis.

Some might call that greedy, but after blazing a trail in the music and film worlds for over fifty years this lady (the best selling female recording artist of all time, don’t cha know) has earned the right to have anything she wants.

Now 72, that divine voice sleekly slides over the familiar beautiful chords of Come Rain or Come Shine, accompanied by rock star John Legend.

Our exclusive video shows the ridiculously talented pair jamming in the recording studio as they put their own spin on the Arlen and Mercer 1946 classic.

Unlike many modern duets, which are often recorded separately – often on different sides of the world – Streisand was keen for the project to have an organic feel.

She worked closely with each of her collaborators, crafting and building the song together.

Streisand’s public image has become so stylized and iconic in its own right that it’s a rare treat to see her so relaxed and utterly without vanity in this intimate footage.

It’s also wonderful to see a living legend sitting back and enjoying watching another artist at work, in this case Mayer jamming with his guitar.

Mayer, in turn, talks about the respect he and his family has for her.

He reveals that his father only stopped disapproving of his choice to be a musician when he heard that his son had been signed to Columbia Records - because John was on “Streisand’s label now”.

Streisand herself can't contain her joy to, "see John Mayer come in and to hear him play so masterfully.... It's unbelievable."

Then again, we can believe anything of a lady who has won two Oscars, five Emmys, eight Grammys and ten Golden Globe awards - as well as being the only artist to have a number one album in the US charts in six consecutive decades.

Forget unbelievable, perhaps she should call her next album Unstoppable...
