CD Review: Bruno Mars: Unorthodox Jukebox
ANYONE who has heard Locked Out Of Heaven, the opening single of Bruno Mars’ second album, a poppy rock song reminiscent of The Police and with that amazing voice taking it to the next level, will already know this follow-up to the multi-Grammy nominated Doo-Wops & Hooligans is certainly not going to be a disappointment.
It’s the genre-hopping that makes Mars so interesting with the music very much on the acoustic side, the voice avoiding the usual wittering of current R&B and good old-fashioned quality songs giving the package a timeless feel.
He’s not bad looking either.
