Album review - Avril Lavigne: Goodbye Lullaby (RCA)
AT just 26, Canadian rocker Avril has been putting out albums for nearly a decade.
With a divorce in her recent memory it's no surprise that this fourth album, which was two years in the making, is a little darker and a little more grown up than her earlier kid-rock output.
That's good as it allows us to hear what is actually a really rather good voice on songs that let her explore her thoughts a little. She's produced a couple of them herself, a first for her, and should be pleased with this even if it turns out to be a tricky transition for some fans.
Verdict: 3/5
