Katherine Jenkins: Believe
DAVID Foster, the production overlord behind Michael Bublé, Céline Dion and Barbra Streisand, is Jenkins’s dream producer apparently, though it’s difficult to tell this apart from her previous releases.
The spread of material is familiar – popular arias, soundtrack hits, the odd pop song – this time in the form of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry and Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life.
The mezzo soprano is more believable, however, with The Godfather, La Vie En Rose and Ennio Morricone’s La Califfa.
VERDICT 2/5
