Joan Baez: Gone from danger
IN 1997 Baez put her skills as an interpretive singer to fine use on this selection of folk songs by a clutch of artists more than 20 years her junior.
The meandering compositions of Sinead Logan, Dar Williams and Betty Elders well suit Joan’s noble East Village wail, which she puts to tricky subject matter such as immigration and paedophilia.
