Rockstar say they've been made aware of a new issue on the new-gen consoles since the introduction of update 1.08.

Update 1.08 has seen a deterioration of graphic quality in-game, something the devlopers are now working on to fix.

Players on the Xbox 360 and PS3 remain unaffected.

"We are aware of some graphical issues on the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTAV after the most recent Title Update, and we are investigating a fix now," Rockstar confirmed.

The release of the Online Heists earlier this month also saw players given the opportunity to unlock a new Adversary Mode in GTA Online.

Adversary Modes adds challenges that allow for teams to work together in packs against single and paired competition.

It gives players the chance to try out their skills to see if they can survive when the numbers are against them and will come as a welcome boost in content for those who have been playing since release.

Heists was the hotly anticipated 4-player cooperative gameplay experience for Grand Theft Auto Online which promised to give players the chance to team up and pull off a string of intense, multi-part heists, raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County.

Connection issues and server downtime plagued its release earlier this month, with its gameplay still suffering from select disconnection issues.

The 1.09 update included:

Changes made to the matchmaking options and UI. This affects:
  • Heist Planning Board
  • A new option has been added to the Heist Planning Board that will allow you to press Left on the D-pad to quickly join a Heist as a crew member. You must have an active Heist in order to access this feature.
    Heist Lobby
    • A “Matchmaking” option has been added to Heist lobbies that allows the Host to quickly change whether matchmaking is open or closed. When set to “Closed”, only invited players can connect with the Heist lobby. This option is “Closed” by default, which means only players you invite can join the session.
    • The “Client Invites” option has been reinstated for the host of the lobby that is “On” by default. This allows players that have joined the Heist to invite their friends. If you only want the host to be able to send invites, “Client Invites” should be set to “Off”.
      • Improvements to the “Auto-Invite” matchmaking option to help fill lobbies faster
      • Improvements to matchmaking for Heists to fill lobbies faster
