Uncharted 4 has been delayed until 2016

The release of GTA 5's new Online Heists has left many players unable to connect due to huge server demand and a newly reported phone freezing bug.

This week has seen Rockstar services forced offline sporadically throughout the day, with the issue affecting all platforms.

The new title update to include Online Heists has also seen reported problems with existing story modes.

Users have revealed problems in connection with a new phone freezing bug that leaves some having to restart their progress.

The problems has been reported on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

One fan wrote: "when I try to access the email app on the phones (in any character) the phone tips about 5-8 degrees and then freezes on the screen.

"I can still walk around but can't put the phone away, access any other phone apps or run.

"Only fix is to get hit by a car or crash a motorcycle or fall."

Naughty Dog have revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been delayed until Spring 2016.

The two directors in charge of the PS4 project, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, revealed it was neccarry to postpone the new title so that they can provide an experience that lives up to fan expectation.

"Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned," a statement from the Naughty Dog directors explained.

The codenamed 'Yukimura' patch for PS4 has been confirmed to include the suspend/resume feature first revealed nearly two years ago.

SCEA director, Scott McCarthy revealed via the PlayStation blog: "When we unveiled PS4 two years ago, we announced Suspend/Resume, a feature that would enable PS4 users to jump in and out of their games faster than ever.

"This has been a feature gamers have been excited about since then, and today I am honoured to officially confirm that system software update 2.50, “Yukimura,” will soon deliver Suspend/Resume, as well as a number of other requested features to PS4.

"Suspend/Resume, which will be supported by nearly all PS4 titles, will create an atmosphere where your games are immediately available at any time — just pick up your DualShock 4 wireless controller, hit the PS button and get right back into the action of your games.
