VIDEO: Kit Harington takes on terrorists in new trailer for Spooks - The Greater Good
HE MAY be used to fighting wildlings in Game of Thrones but Kit Harignton comes face to face with an equally fearsome enemy in the new trailer for Spooks: The Greater Good.
The Spy thriller is based on the hit BBC drama of the same name, and sees Peter Firth return as Harry Pearce – Head of Counter-terrorism – and Kit take on the role of former spy, Will Holloway.
The storyline focuses on the disappearances of Pearce after he's forced to resign when terrorist leader Adam Qasim escapes MI5 custody.
With MI5 on its knees in the wake of the Qasim debacle and facing controversial reform, former agent Holloway is brought back from Moscow to uncover the truth they feared – Harry’s still alive. He’s gone rogue, and needs Will’s help.

The trailer starts with the daring escape and Qasim's getaway on the back of a motorcycle, before film fans are introduced to Kit diving through a window and being picked up by an accomplice.
Kit then has to uncover the truth behind his mentor's disappearance and try to stay alive in the process.
The plot thickens when the young agent finally does track down his old boss, as it seems the break was an inside job.
Spooks ran for 86 episodes from 2002 to 2011, and featured some big names, including David Oyelowo – who gained international fame for his portrayal of Martin Luther King in Selma.
The movie also stars Pride and Prejudice's Jennifer Ehle as Geraldine Maltby, and Lara Pulver as Erin Watts.
Spooks: The Greater Good is set for release in UK cinemas on May 8.
